As May started to give way to June, I found myself on top of Red Mountain at Vulcan Park in Birmingham, Alabama for what turned out to be a super fun wedding. I went there on May 23rd, 2015 to cover the wedding of Ashley and Marion. The young couple decided to have their celebration at Vulcan Park with the skyline of the Magic City serving as the backdrop for the festivities.
Working with Ashley and Marion couldn't be easier. They were incredibly laid back and relaxed throughout the day, and that made the celebration that much better. They had friends and family taking care of all the important details, thus allowing the bride and groom to be to clear their minds of worry before the big moment happened.
When it was time to say vows, Ashley and Marion were married in front of a festive group as the sun slowly began to set over the city of Birmingham. The weather and conditions were pitch perfect for an outdoor ceremony.
After the ceremony and formals were completed, it was time to party. Ashley, Marion, and their guests danced well into the night at Vulcan Park's reception room to celebrate the big day. Guests young and old got down and cut loose with the happy bride and groom. Everybody, including myself, enjoyed the fact that Dreamland BBQ served as the caterers for the party.
Once it was time to say goodbye, Ashley and Marion made a festive bubble exit out into Vulcan Park. The city of Birmingham and the statue of Vulcan were illuminated to welcome the two into the evening and their new life together.
I'd like to thank Ashley and Marion for having me cover this important day, and I'd like to thank Gary Rush of Rush Videos for being such a fantastic videographer to work with as well!
