Greetings from DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events! I don't have much to say today, but I did want to extend a few positive words as a particular season starts up in the coming days. With May coming to an end, we are now officially entering the summer wedding season! The weather is going to be gorgeous, and the sunlight will be ample. These are great conditions for anyone having a wedding.
June is such a great month to have a wedding. Things haven't gotten too hot just yet, and the days are at their absolute longest. These two situations can combine to make some absolutely beautiful settings for your wedding photography. I absolutely adore getting to photograph weddings during long days in June. One of my favorite shots I have ever taken at a wedding, which can be seen below, was done during a beautiful June day in the Fayette, Alabama area. The shot above, another favorite, was taken during June in the Gadsden, Alabama area.
Now I know July and August might be months people avoid when it comes to weddings due to the heat. I live in Alabama. I understand. That being said, though, don't shy away from having weddings in those months. You can still do beautiful ceremonies and events throughout July and August. If the heat is an issue, just plan on having a lot of things inside and do the outdoor stuff when the temperatures cool down a bit during the evening. You have lots of options and possibilities to use. I'll be going to St. Augustine in July for what should be a beautiful ceremony in that lovely town.
If you are getting married this summer, congratulations! I sincerely hope your day turns out to be the absolute best. If you are thinking about getting married in the summer, I'd love to talk with you, especially if you are looking for a wedding photographer.
