Tuscaloosa Holiday Portrait Photography | The Richardson Family
December is here and, although we're in the full rush of the holiday season, that doesn't mean you still can't get some great portraits done by DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events to share with friends and family! That's what the Richardson family did on December 3rd. I met up with them The Park at Manderson Landing on the banks of the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and we had a great early morning session.
I've done numerous sessions for the Richardson family over the years, even before their daughter was born, but this was the first holiday session we've done. They wanted to make sure some fall coloring was in the background so we decided The Park at Manderson Landing would be an ideal location. The leaves on the trees were still showing the effects of the season, and they blessed us with some nice and vibrant hues. The hues and colors really popped when we moved to the "tea party" portion of the shoot. The Richardson family wanted to capture a precious daddy-daughter moment in the form of a tea party, and it made for some fantastic images.
We were also fortunate that the rain held off long enough for us to complete the session. I think it actually started raining minutes after we completed things, but we were dry for the duration of the shoot. The cloud cover and sky, though, actually gave us ideal shooting conditions. I'll take a gray and overcast sky any day of the week when doing an outdoor session, especially one that's taking place in the late fall season.
I'd like to thank the Richardson family for choosing DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events to do this holiday session. It was wonderful working with them again.
