Birmingham Botanical Gardens Portrait Photography | The James Family
As summer is winding down, I wanted to put some focus on a great portrait session I did this season at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Back in June, I met up with the James family, some good friends, at the gardens as they had came into town for the weekend. I had photographed the family a couple of times before, but this was the first time we did a session in Birmingham and the gardens.
We picked a warm but beautiful Saturday afternoon in June to do the session. The main focus of the shoot was the family's two young daughters, but we also found time to incorporate mom and dad into things as we toured the various locations and spots within the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Even though it had rained earlier that day, the conditions were great as the sun wasn't too overbearing and the heavy cover of the plant life and trees made for a great source of shade. As a result, I was rather happy with the overall look and mood that got captured during the session.
I'm thankful the James family decided to go with me again to do their family session, and I'm also thankful they enjoyed the end product they received. It was a pleasure being able to do another portrait session with them, especially in a beautiful space like the Birmingham, Botanical Gardens.
