March 18th, 2017 was quite a special day as I hit the road and headed to the NorthRiver Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the wedding of Madison and Trent. This was my first wedding of 2017, and it was just an absolutely beautiful one to kick off the season. You might recognize Madison and Trent from their engagement session I shot a few months prior.
I've known Madison's family for quite some time, and it was an absolute pleasure and honor to be selected to photograph her wedding to Trent. The entire day was a family affair as relatives, along with close family friends, all chipped in to make the event special and memorable for the happy couple.
The theme of the day was Disney as Madison and Trent got engaged while visiting Disney World. All sorts of Disney related objects and decor were on display to help make the NorthRiver Yacht Club the Happiest Place on Earth on March 18th.
The ceremony itself took place in the mid-afternoon and was bathed in sunlight thanks to the large windows surrounding the room. It gave the nuptials a happy and warm feeling as Madison and Trent said their vows and became husband and wife. To tie into how close a family affair this wedding was, Madison's father, a minister, helped conduct the ceremony.
From there, it was time to party and enjoy the reception. The bride and groom, along with the numerous guests, enjoyed the delicious food the NorthRiver Yacht Club provided while also dancing well into the evening.
During the reception, myself and the wonderful video team at Rad Red Creative took Madison and Trent out to get some shots as the sun set over Lake Tuscaloosa. You couldn't have asked for a better setting to do some sunset photos. They turned out absolutely beautiful.
When it was time to leave, Madison and Trent departed while guests sprinkled them with pixie dust to continue the Disney theme of the day. As the couple was decorated in pixie dust, they said their goodbyes and departed to begin their honeymoon, which, of course, featured a Disney cruise and a trip back to Disney World.
I'd like to thank Madison and Trent and their families for having me photograph this big day. They, along with all their friends and well wishers, were amazing to work with and photograph. It was really a wonderful group of people who came together to celebrate the union of Madison and Trent.
A word of thanks also needs to go to the staff of the NorthRiver Yacht Club, who put on a fantastic event and run a fantastic venue, along with the team at Rad Red Creative. They do an amazing job and were great to work with on this wedding.
