A chill and a bit of wind in the air couldn’t bring down the spirits at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama on March 31st. That’s because I had the pleasure of driving up to those lovely grounds to do some engagement photos for Camille and Drew, a lovely young couple, who will be tying the knot in June of this year. I’m so happy they picked DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events to document their big day this summer!
Even with the chill in the air, the day was a beautiful one for engagement photos at the gardens. Camille and Drew wanted to make use of the Japanese gardens to start the session, and I was happy to fulfill that request. Everything in that section just looked lovely on this particular early spring afternoon. The greens really did pop and come alive, which is always a good thing for a gardens shoot.
Once we finished shooting in the Japanese gardens, we made the rounds and covered several other great spots. There really wasn’t a bad location to use in the gardens during this shoot, and that allowed me to produce a lot of lovely photographs for Camille and Drew.
All in all, this was just a wonderful engagement session with a really lovely couple! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in June as I know it’s going to be a beautiful day and celebration.
