Birmingham engagement photography with Jennifer and Matt!
Birmingham, Alabama has several great spots to do engagement portraits in advance of a couple's wedding, and the Avondale neighborhood is definitely one of those spots. I headed down there on the morning of July 8th to do an early engagement session with Jennifer and Matt, two good friends who will be getting married this November in the Tuscaloosa area.
Jennifer and Matt wanted something different for their session, and they specifically mentioned a futuristic and space theme. I immediately knew the interior of Saturn Birmingham would be the perfect location to start the session. When Jennifer and Matt arrived, they quickly fell in love with the design and decor of Saturn Birmingham and its Satellite coffee shop area.
After spending a good bit of time at Saturn Birmingham, we headed down the street to the lovely Avondale Park. Jennifer and Matt made use of the amphitheater area on the grounds of the park, and it was a great backdrop and bit of contrast to the interiors of Saturn Birmingham. To close things out, Jennifer and Matt posed in front of some of the creative murals on the buildings in the Avondale neighborhood.
This session went wonderfully, and I can't wait to photograph Jennifer and Matt's wedding day in November. I'm so happy they chose me to capture all these important memories.
